In collaboration with our sponsor, PIX Moving, and with the world’s first vehicle design and manufacturing system powered by AI and metal 3D printing, We are building flexible and customizable moving spaces, based on a pod – chassis configuration. With an open source pod design, that is customizable based on needs, and the chassis equipped with L4 universal autonomy, we are working towards redefining and transforming autonomous mobility!
As part of this project, we are focusing on three specific behaviors – Navigation, Safety and Payload Handling – for modular autonomous vehicles in geo-fenced environments. Our team, Align, is named after one of the sub-tasks involved in the payload handling procedure, namely that of aligning and docking with the payload.
