We used a google sheet to track the progress and schedule. The color coding shows the progress. Green means completion, red means for spring semester, orange means in progress. Each task specifies task holder.<\/p>\n

Project Milestone Schedule<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The high level milestones for 2017 Spring Semester are shown in the following figure. A more granular schedule will be made based on our progress during the winter break.<\/span><\/p>\n

The milestones of progress reviews for this project have been determined in accordance with the goal of creating a competitive robotic system for the 2017 Amazon Picking Challenge. Since the perception sub-system is running behind the schedule now, we will focus on it in the beginning of spring semester. Table 3 below shows milestones for each progress review in details.<\/span><\/p>\n

One issue with these milestones is a lack of concrete numbers for vision deliverables. At this we are not sure what requirements are reasonable, which is a problem by itself. To solve this problem, Team Plaid will be devoting time over the Winter break to bring perception up to speed and make more specific goals for the Spring semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

Work Breakdown Structure<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The Work Breakdown Structure is divided by subsystem. The shelf subsystem is newly added based on the 2017 new rule. Individual work packages are assigned to individual task holders. <\/span><\/p>\n
