HUAN-YANG (Peter) CHANG<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project Manager & Mechanical Engineer<\/p>\n

Huan-Yang believes that the implementation of robot can improve the quality of life. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University(NTU). He participated in the self-combination robot project and worked on the CAD design and system validation. After graduation from NTU, he has 2.5year experience in dental implant navigation system development which use the stereovision tech to improve the accuracy of the implant surgery. He also worked on system development (V model, risk management) and medical device documentation (ISO 13485, MDD). His interest areas include robot kinematic, industrial automation and computer vision.<\/p>\n

MAN-NING(Mandy) CHEN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perception Engineer<\/p>\n

I got my B.S. and M.S. degree from Mechanical Engineer Department at National Taiwan University. During my master studies, I focused on robotics and participated in several projects and a competition regarding mobile robot manipulation and computer vision implementation. My master thesis was developing a service robot which could follow or guide its user through a shopping mall and carry groceries for the user. Sensor fusion, tracking, SLAM, path planning and motion control are used in it. After graduation, I went Japan to work as a human-machine interface software engineer.<\/p>\n

Yiqing got her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China. During\u00a0undergraduate year, she had\u00a0done several projects related to medical image and signal processing(focus on cell segmentation and cell tracking), GUI design, data mining, microcontroller programming and circuit design.
\nHer interested areas include computer vision, machine learning, motion planning, robotic controls, signal and image processing, User interface design and developing.<\/p>\n

SIDDHARTH (Fatty) RAINA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mechanical Engineer<\/p>\n

Siddharth graduated from IIT Patna, majoring in mechanical engineering. In IIT Patna, he worked on a semi automatic fruit harvesting mechanism. Thereafter he joined the product development department of Mahindra Trucks and Bus division, where his work was primarily on designing air suspension systems for trucks. Siddharth is primarily interested in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree from Carnegie Mellon University.<\/p>\n

SAMBUDDHA (Sam) SARKAR<\/strong><\/p>\n

Electrical Engineer\/Creative Director<\/p>\n

He is not the Roboticist you need, but the one you deserve.<\/b><\/p>\n

MRSD student during the day, and….. MRSD student by night ( I know right?!). He has been dabbling with electronics since he learned that power sockets weren’t the right holes to put his fingers in, (stupid is what stupid does!). Technically he holds a Bachelor’s of Technology in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, but one shouldn’t leave him alone around heavy electrical devices ( Hint: He thinks he is Batman and will probably end up winching himself to the ceiling.) He is known to wander around Carnegie Mellon University campus in search of free food, so your best bet to get his attention is to bait him with food. It has been overheard that his research interests are in the fields of Bio-Mechanics, Dynamics & Control, Manipulation, Chaos Theory, Mathematical Modelling, Machine Learning and Designing. His skills have been tabulated below.<\/p>\n
