He has a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani- Dubai Campus, where he led his undergraduate robotics team to develop a drone solution to monitor and clean oil spills. The project has generated interest from the UAE government and has been featured at \u2018The UAE Drones for Good 2017\u2019 competition and received funding by \u2018ExpoLive 2020\u2019. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Currently, he is excited by technologies like SLAM, 3D reconstruction and their potential application to robotics, AR and high-fidelity 3D mapping. Prior to RI, he graduated from National Taiwan University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Dung-Han has participated in various robotic undergraduate research projects, such as indoor human following robot, dynamic analysis of a gymnastic 3-link robot and automated surgical systems.<\/p>\n<p>Dung-Han\u2019s interests lie in mobile robots and perception such as sensor fusion and visual analytics. He is currently a student at Carnegie Mellon University working on a Masters of science in Robotic Systems Development. Through this program he is hoping to expand his technical repetoire especially in the fields of manipulation and controls. John has an BS in Computer Science from Cornell University, where he lead the Software subteam of the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle team to a first-place finish in the international RoboSub competition. Currently, his main interests lie in perception, especially applying learning and probabilistic methods to computer vision and sensor fusion.
