Design Brainstorming
Below is our original design of the landing platform. We have four cone-shaped receptors with electromagnets for each leg of the UAV. After a manual landing test, we found the success rate is lower than our expectation since the UAV has to align itself perfectly to all four cones at the same time in order to not get stuck and failing to do so my deal critical structural damage to the landing module. Thus, we decided to abandon this idea to the current one which involves only one receptor placing under the center of the UAV.

Below is our re-design for our receptor, we are raising the height of the cone to match the height of the landing extension.
