Mandatory Performance Requirements<\/b><\/h2>\n

The system will:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Fly up to an altitude of 20 meters.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Fly at a velocity up to 5 m\/s.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Have a 2 minute flight time (run time).<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Drift no more than 2 m from planned trajectory during flight.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Support a payload up to 5 kg.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Detect objects up to 10 meters away with 5% error.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Detect objects with 70% success rate.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Track detected objects with 70% success rate.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Give avoidance guidance to pilot at a 1Hz frequency.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Avoid 100% of potential collisions.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Not perform unnecessary avoidance maneuvers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Non-Functional Requirements<\/b><\/h2>\n

    The system will:<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    1. Be completed by December 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Cost less than $5,000.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Have a custom PCB.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Be scalable in size.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Avoid using Machine Learning in path planning and controls.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The system will:<\/span><\/p>\n

      2. Detect objects with 90% success rate.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Classify objects with above 80% accuracy.<\/span><\/li>\n
