Currently, I&#8217;m at Carnegie Mellon University pursuing a Master of Science in Robotic Systems Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I dove into robotics in 2020 on the MIT-PITT+RW Indy Autonomous Challenge through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspitt.org\/\">Pitt Robotics and Automation Society<\/a>. We were able to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/127.0.0.1:5500\/team.html#\">race a full-scale autonomous indy car<\/a>&nbsp;at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, I&#8217;ve gotten to work on many different projects inside and outside of robotics. Currently, I\u2019m at Carnegie Mellon University pusruing a Master of Science in Robotic Systems Development. Before joining CMU, my professional endeavors primarily revolved around integrating sub-systems for a mobile robot and developing ROS-based software. At CMU, my focus is on acquiring a profound understanding of the critical elements that contribute to the autonomy of robotic systems and advancing my research in the realm of safe autonomy. Moving forward, I plan to delve deeper into exploring methodologies for designing&nbsp;safe human-robot interaction models.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shara Lawande<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hello! I&#8217;m Shara, a first-year MRSD student at CMU with a Bachelor&#8217;s in Engineering from BITS Goa, India. My passion lies in modeling and controls. Currently, I lead the development of external mechanisms at NiMo. My background features internships at Carnegie Mellon University, contributing to the Morphing Matter Lab and Biorobotics Lab. I&#8217;ve focused on topology optimization for robot designs, machine learning for defect detection in pipes, and programming closed-loop controllers for snake robots in cluttered terrains. I\u2019m a first-year Master\u2019s student at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where I am studying Robotic Systems Development. Prior to CMU, I attained my Bachelor\u2019s at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I earned a major in Mechanical Engineering and a technical breadth in Computer Science.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My experience in robotics spreads far and wide. As an undergraduate, I worked at the Biomechatronics Laboratory and Structures-Computer Interaction Laboratory at UCLA. Additionally, in the fall of 2021, I worked as a Technical Program Management intern at Cruise. These experiences exposed me to all facets of robotics, from mechanical design to simulation to machine learning to management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving forward, I am excited to learn more about full-stack software implementations for autonomous vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shrudhi Ramesh Shanthi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hello, I&#8217;m Shrudhi, a passionate Robotics enthusiast dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation. With a background in Electronics and Computer Engineering from VIT Chennai, I&#8217;ve engaged in diverse technical projects, including designing autonomous robots for industrial applications. Currently, I&#8217;m pursuing a degree in Robotic Systems Development at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on motion planning and exploring other areas of robotics to expand my knowledge.
