Spring System Performance
In the SVD and Encore demonstrations, we planted 5 seedlings in total, of which 4 were successful. One planting did not satisfy the performance metric requiring the seedling to sit relatively upright (within ±15 degrees of vertical).
For the autonomous navigation test, we demonstrated the robot’s ability to autonomously navigate to two different seedling locations, both within 1 meter of the target accuracy.
Overall, our system met all targeted performance requirements for the Spring Semester except for those related to obstacle avoidance. The specific quantitative results corresponding to each performance requirement are summarized in the table below.
