To manage the project tasks and track the team progress we are using both TeamGantt as a high-level timeline planner and excel for low-level tasks. We attempted using Trello, but found it difficult to balance concrete low-level and ease of understanding higher-level direction. The excel also provides a checklist to ensure that every decision that needs several teammates is performed by all involved. This will help avoid surprises during the integration stage and forces validation to happen early.
We have divided all tasks into the following groups: Visual Sensing and Perception, Planning & Navigation, Manipulator Grasping, Manipulator Storage, Mobility, Robot Integration, and Validation & Testing.
Most team communication occurs through Slack, also divided into the sections above.
