Hardware Framework

Description

See the subsystem description page for overview:

Fall 2021:

  • Created and installed plastic mount cover to protect electronics on the back of COBORG frame.
  • Fabricated and installed new COBORG frame featuring new 80/20 frame and mounting board for electronics.
  • Replaced aluminum tubing on robot arm for thin-walled carbon fiber tubing. Overall weight of robot arm came out to be about 6 lbs.

Spring 2021:

For SVD encore functional integration testing, Intel RealSense D435i was mounted on top right shoulder of the CoBorg. Position was set in order to provide better field-of-view of user’s hands and to give more viable goal positions to manipulator arm which is also installed on the right side of the CoBorg.

Intel RealSense D435i and T265 mounted on top left shoulder of the CoBorg. Mounting position is set for until after the SVD period. Eventually will need to designate two mounting points, one for overhead operation and one for operation directly in front of the CoBorg.

Fall 2020:

As-Is CoBorg hardware framework provided. Components to the As-Is robot include necessary mechanical frame and electrical component start and run HEBI motors either 36V LiGo batteries or 36V wired power supply.
